The commodity laboratory hosts the basic research activities linked to the intrinsic qualities of the products. The activities involve an analysis of the characteristics and components of the rice as well as the transformations deriving from industrial processing.

Various tests are performed regularly in the area dedicated to the sensory analysis according to the latest and strictest international standards. These tests aim at identifying the sensory profile of new products or new recipes as well as checking the duration of the sensory characteristics of the products marketed or being experimented on.

The study of the manufacturing process is carried out in the company's pilot plants where the production cycles are reproduced on model systems, to improve existing activities and develop new solutions. Accelerated shelf life tests are also of great importance, and are performed by simulating the shelf life of the product over a shorter time span, to guarantee constant quality and safety parameters throughout its entire life span.

The same laboratories are also home to the quality control activities of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
